PEOPLE MAGAZINE!!!!!!!!

After 10 long months I can FINALLY share that our family and Project HOPEFUL is being featured in the Dec SIXTH issue of People Magazine! It is already out in some places to people with subscriptions!! It will be on stands by Nov 24 pretty much everywhere! It has Kate Middleton on the cover.
SO, as usual God show's His desires for these kids BIG. This time he used the largest publication in the world....44 MILLION subscribers and that doesn't include what's out on newsstands and check out lanes and the freebies every Dr.office and salon in the universe has!
I have been silent on my blog these days so as not to put anything that can be twisted or turned to hurt us as we step out in faith and expose our lives in a very big way. But...those of you that know me understand that my thoughts toward that are .... if you got a problem....up your butt with a coconut ;) (I mean that in love.)
I PRAY that MANY will see the TRUTH about HIV and the reality of adopting children with HIV!! Our attitudes have always been its worth it ALL for ONE!!This should blow that out of the water!
PLEASE stay tuned our public service announcement TRUTH PANDEMIC (official launch is Dec 1, World AIDS Day!)will be out in the next day or two!! Please SHARE IT!!! TRUTH IS CONTAGIOUS!! SPREAD IT!!! Check out our incredible website!! www.projecthopeful.org

THE FOLLOWING IS FROM DAWN PATTERSON of www.funkyfishdesigns.com:
On October 3rd, I learned the definition of Hopeful...Full of CONFIDENT EXPECTATION. I learned it from a mom I met at the Together for adoption conference. This Mom, Carolyn Twietmeyer, is the founder of Project Hopeful (www.projecthopeful.org) and let me tell you, she is full of confident expectation. I was so inspired by her. She is one woman, a mom, who has decided to take a stand and fight for something she believes in....education & adoption of HIV+ children. I think I was particularly drawn to her because you can see Jesus in her. When you talk to her, you know that her heart is a heart radically transformed by God. Who wouldn't be drawn to that?
Carolyn and her Ethiopian daughters created the pendant shown on this necklace. I fell in love with the pendant when I saw it. Being a jewelry designer, I immediately went to the "oh, I would love to design something with that" place. Upon returning from the conference, God immediately showed me what to design. But I didn't have a clear picture of the "what to do with it" yet. Then I saw this post on Carolyn's wall:
"I know this family, that is headed to Eastern Europe....in 2 weeks....they have made the decision to add on another child with HIV to bring home....We have got to help raise funds in record time....This could be this little girls last chance to get a family....My mind is reeling with ideas....I am gonna need help and people to commit to reposts.....!!"
That is what I am going to do with it. We will be offering a chance to win this necklace. 100% of the money collected will go toward the adoption of this child. Tickets will be just $5.00.
Just a little info on the necklace....the beads are paper beads made in Uganda by the "Women of Destiny" ministry. This is a group of widows who work with an orphanage run by True Vine Christian Ministries. The pendant was created by Carolyn and her beautiful daughters. Wearing this pendant is intended to signify LOVING children with HIV, thus the (+) positive sign in the palm of the tiny hand.

Now's Your Chance!
These beautifully handmade necklaces are made in Uganda by Katie's ladies (Amazima Ministries)...We get them from 147Million Orphans and add our own handmade touch!! So these benefit 2 AMAZING ministries!
My girls have mastered the pendant! These are made by MY beautiful daughters ...UNORPHANS...and their US born siblings to remind everyone about the children with HIV, left behind. (Mom helps too ;)The red signifies HIV awareness...the heart...well...that goes without saying...The little hand has a positive sign engraved in it (speaks VOLUMES)...These provoke conversation and give us the opportunity to EDUCATE, ENCOURAGE and ENABLE families adopting children with HIV/AIDS!
$5.00 entry will add your name to the drawing Sept. 2! Proceeds are going toward scholarships for travel to our next workshop at University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital for families considering adopting children with HIV!
Your support is PRICELESS!!! Hit the PAYPAL donate button on the top right under the photo of the necklace!
ALL for ONE!!

Selah, Andarge and Eyerusalem (Sarah) REUNITED...FINALLY!!
Their first few moments together after being separated for 3 years...One year in the orphanage without them and 2 years in the US without them.....We thought it was LONG ENOUGH!! I still don't know what lottery I won to be able to witness these miracles...But I'm gonna keep playin'.

WE ARE HOOOOOME!!

My goodness, I cannot believe how long it's been since I have posted. I don't have much time now but I wanted to at least add our first family picture taken at the airport when we landed with Andarge and Eyerusalem. I will post soon about the reactions etc when Selah finally laid eyes on them again.
Our family is adjusting to the family we are now, wonderfully. We so adore these kids.....We have our bumps in the road, but it's a road I would choose over and over.
Hoping to get my "BLOG ON" again, I would love to include so much more now...Home school, recipes...large family living...There is SO much more to us outside of adoption and Project HOPEFUL....So many ask us..."Are you done now?" (adopting)...We just aren't ready to answer that....That question is a struggle for us
I have so many thank you's to send out. Words will never get my points across. THANK YOU for praying for us and for entering the contest my sly friends set up on here. Your support made all of the difference. I have seen more and more that what we have lost in family because of our "RADICAL" choices we have gained some amazing new family through the most unconventional of ways....
Lots more to share...and far to little time right now.
